You were at end of March or early April 2016 on a larger South American tour. Was that your first tour in South America? How were the audience’s reaction to your poignant and melancholic sound? What should be mentioned as a special memory on this tour?
Ronny Moorings:
Yes, so far it was our biggest tour in South America. Seven concerts in six countries. We played many times in South America , but most of the time we played 2 to 3 countries in total.
The audiences are very enthusiastic and make you feel that they know each and every song and melody. We played also in some countries where they don’t have that often a foreign band and was for us a new experience as well. Columbia, Uruguay  and Cordoba in Argentina were the odd ones out. We sold out all the shows so it was for all of us an incredible experience. The different cultures never seizes to capture us.
Independent Sounds:
In August Clan of Xymox goes back across “the pond” to the United States. But meanwhile you and your band members makes station on 07.02.2016 in Detmold at the Owls’n’Bats Festival. Did you ever hear of the great location in the Teutoburg forests at the feet of  the Hermann Monument?
Ronny Moorings:
No , never. But it sounds and looks good. I am sure it is going to be a wonderful experience.
Independent Sounds:
What expectations you have to come and play at this festival, considering that Clan of Xymox used the bigger stages?
Ronny Moorings:
We also play normal clubs, so we are a versatile  band . We certainly hope the festival terrain  will be full with music lovers and that the weather cooperates with the festival. The location is very beautiful so I am certain we will stay up late (smile)

Independent Sounds:

Is there a special concert or festival at 2016 to you looking forward at most?
Ronny Moorings:
There are so many different cities and locations we are still going to perform it is hard to say which one would have a preference in our minds.
We like the diversity of our tour , so my answer would be that I am looking forward to the rest of all the shows still awaiting us. It is always exciting to go places.
Independent Sounds:
How important it is to be playing live for you?
Ronny Moorings:
It is a considerable part of the life of the band. With live performances we can reach people in a direct way which we cannot do with a CD. The  interaction between audience and band is important to me. Live gives as an artist just an extra dimension you cannot reach in a studio environment.
Independent Sounds:
Did you ever played before with one of the other bands of the Owls’n’Bats Festival?
Ronny Moorings:
Yes. Escape with Romeo played with us in Dresden last year. I like what they do so I am looking forward to hear them again. All other bands too of course.
Independent Sounds:
What can the Clan of Xymox Fan 2016 expect of you? Perhaps sooner or later a new album? The last album „Matters Of Mind, Body And Soul“ is indeed from the year 2014?
Ronny Moorings:
Yes, I am working on a new album. It will most definitely come out in 2017.
Independent Sounds:
We saw you in Bielefeld at the “movie” with salvation AMP live 2015. We can offer and recommend our readers these fantastic Live Show of Clan of Xymox with so many great, known, popular and catchy songs, not to be missed. We are very pleased to see you once again Live on the Owls`n` Bats Festival in Detmold! Thank you for your time.
Ronny Moorings:
And thank you (smile)
Independent Sounds:
The last words belong to you! Is there anything you want to tell your fans and those who wants to even be?
Ronny Moorings:
I hope it is going to be a wonderful day and all goes smoothly.  We will be  there after the show signing CD’s or anything you have with. See you there !
