Who is behind Splendor?
Behind Splendor is a group of creative friends: Bart Cathedral on vocals, Michael Provocateur on bass, Peter on guitar and Lacrima la drama on drums.

How would you describe your music?
Michael & Lacrima: We call it visual rock cause the name accurately describes what we stand for – a mix of gothic rock with a heavy beat enriched with a visual element.

What´s the special of the Band?
Michael: We are special. We are the only band like this in our country. We want to keep the gothic scene alive and create something unique and new. So far we’ve had pretty good response.

What would you like to achieve with your songs?
Lacrima: Appeal to all the senses. Michael: sometimes simply entertain and other times – disturb.

SplendorWhy did you start with making music?
We all love music, all of us grew up listening to different kinds of genres, but we all have one thing in common – we always wanted to not just listen to but also create music and be rock stars! So we each pursued our beloved instruments and passion for music.

Which bands had an effect on your creativity?
Michael: A lot of bands, it’s so hard to count! From classical music through rock to energy disco. This can easily be heard in our music.

What kind of music do you listen to at home, on the road or when doing sports?
Michael: Depends on mood. Currently at home I’m listen to Grace Jones. Lacrima: I do listen to a lot of jazz at home, Moonspell on the road, and various stuff in the gym – from Machine Head to Slipknot. But when partying we all love 80s music.

Wishes for the future? Which goals so you have? What´s next? Tour? Studio? Something completely different?
Michael: All of this, finishing new songs, then studio and tour! We are planning a tour of Germany, as there seems to be a good response to our music, maybe even bigger than in Poland.

A band has to pass many ups and downs. So what was the absolute highlight in the past and what the bitter low-point?
Michael: When it comes to highlights, it would for sure will be the bigger gigs in Poland such as the Castle Party, and concerts in the UK, Germany and Czech Republic. And let’s not talk about the bitter points before the New Year! Lacrima: highlights – definitely the bigger gigs we managed to get. The low point – well, struggling to combine life as a musician with everyday stuff. Struggling to make another album better than the first one and make the most of late night rehearsals.

What´s the first thought by reading this words?
